We’re not a boutique hotel and we’re not trying to be. What we offer is a proper historic inn experience: comfortable beds, honest food and a bar that still feels like the heart of the place. The building’s got the low beams and open fires you’d hope for; we’ve just made sure the mattresses are decent and the showers work.

In the bar you’ll find local ales and a straightforward wine list, plus the usual range of spirits and soft drinks. The kitchen does pub food the way we like it—no frills, but done properly. Fish and chips, pies, Sunday roasts when we’re doing them, and a few dishes that change with the season. If you’re after a quiet pint after a walk or a full meal with the family, we’ll look after you.

Our coastal accommodation is ideal for a night or two while you explore the area, or as a base for a longer break. We’re part of the Polgooth Inn family, so the same attention to Cornish hospitality runs through everything we do.
